We operate the DevBrains Certification Portal, which provides IT training programmes, internships, skill development courses, and a publicly accessible certificate verification system.

- Payment information (amount, method, transaction date) — we do not store card or UPI credentials
- Profile photograph and certificate images (when voluntarily provided)

- Performance feedback and skills information
2.2 Information Generated by Our Services
- Certificate ID, issue date, and programme details
- Placement and employment records (if you inform us)
- W3C Verifiable Credential data
- Payment receipts and transaction history
- Communication logs (emails and WhatsApp messages sent)
2.3 Information Collected Automatically
- IP address, browser type, and device information when you visit our portal
- Pages visited, timestamp, and referring URL
- Anonymised analytics data (aggregated and anonymised)
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery: Enrolling you in courses, issuing certificates, and maintaining your student profile
- Certificate Verification: Displaying your certificate details on the public verify page when searched by Certificate ID
- Communications: Sending welcome emails, payment receipts, birthday wishes, placement congratulations, and programme updates via email and WhatsApp
- Automated Notifications: Sending system-generated WhatsApp and email messages related to your enrolment and progress
- Billing & Payments: Recording and tracking fee payments and generating receipts
- Document Generation: Generating internship letters, experience letters, offer letters, and certificates
- Referral Programme: Recording referrals made by existing students and sending referral appreciation communications
- Legal Compliance: Meeting statutory obligations under applicable Indian law
- Security & Fraud Prevention: Protecting our systems and users from unauthorised access
We do not use your personal data for profiling, targeted advertising, or sell it to any third party.
We use the Meta WhatsApp Business API to send automated and manual messages to enrolled students and clients. By providing your WhatsApp-registered mobile number and enrolling in our programmes, you consent to receiving the following types of messages:
- Welcome and onboarding messages upon enrolment
- Payment confirmation and receipt notifications
- Programme updates, schedule changes, and reminders
- Certificate issuance and document ready notifications
- Placement and career opportunity alerts
- Birthday greetings and recognition award notifications
- Referral appreciation messages
4.1 Opt-Out
You may opt out of WhatsApp communications at any time by replying STOP to any message or by contacting us at contact@jsdevbrains.com. Note that opting out of promotional messages does not affect service-critical notifications (e.g., payment confirmations).
4.2 Meta Platform Policy
WhatsApp messages are sent through Meta Platforms Inc. Your phone number is shared with Meta solely for message delivery. Meta's use of this data is governed by WhatsApp's Privacy Policy.
We only send messages to numbers provided voluntarily at the time of enrolment. We never send unsolicited messages to numbers not associated with an active enrolment.
We use a third-party transactional email delivery service to send programme-related emails. By enrolling and providing your email address, you consent to receive:
- Student welcome and enrolment confirmation emails
- Payment receipts and fee balance updates
- Certificate provided and experience letter notifications
- Birthday wishes and recognition award emails
- Placement congratulation emails
- Referral appreciation emails
You may unsubscribe from non-critical emails at any time by contacting us. All emails include our full company identity in the header and footer.
Your data is stored on a secure cloud database managed by our hosting provider. Our data infrastructure is hosted in certified data centres and complies with industry-standard security frameworks.
6.1 Security Measures
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+)
- Database access rules restrict access to authenticated administrators only
- Admin access is protected by our authentication system
- Certificate images and documents are stored in our secure cloud storage with access controls
- No sensitive financial credentials (card numbers, UPI PINs) are stored by us
6.2 Local Storage
Some configuration preferences (display settings, session data) may be stored in your browser's localStorage. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
We regularly review our security practices and update them in line with industry best practices.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We may share your data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: Our database provider, analytics service, email delivery service, and messaging platform — each bound by their own privacy policies
- Certificate Verification: Your name, certificate ID, course, and issue date are displayed publicly on our verify page when searched — this is an essential function of the service you enrolled for
- Legal Obligations: If required by a court order, government authority, or applicable Indian law
- Business Transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred to the successor entity, which will be bound by equivalent privacy protections
Our public portal uses minimal cookies:
- Essential cookies: Required for the admin login session to function
- Analytics: Our analytics service may collect anonymised page-view data to help us improve the portal. No personally identifiable information is included
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party marketing cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; this will not affect your ability to use the public certificate verify page.
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy:
- Student records & certificates: Retained indefinitely to support lifelong certificate verification
- Payment records: Retained for 8 years in compliance with Indian accounting law
- Communication logs: Retained for 2 years
- Analytics data: Automatically anonymised after 14 months by Google Analytics
You may request deletion of your personal data (except records required by law) by contacting our Grievance Officer below.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act 2000, you have the following rights:
- Right to Access: Request a copy of personal data we hold about you
